Through the magnification, isolation, and segmentation of different body parts via the interactive installation, both the dancer and the audience are compelled to shift their perception from viewing the body as a whole to focusing on its individual components. Does this fragmentation and amplification deepen and extend our understanding of the body, or does it disrupt and diminish it? Technological advancements allow us to perceive our bodies in fragmented ways. In a time heavily reliant on technology, as we concentrate more on specific body parts, are we achieving a more comprehensive and nuanced understanding, or is this leading to a fractured perception and a diluted sense of self? This installation seeks to provoke reflection on the delicate, evolving relationship between technology and our perception of the body.
